Both products offer access to the newly opened 6 GHz band that quadruples the amount of airwaves routers and other devices can use, leading to a more reliable and faster connection. In particular, the company has started selling the Hydra Pro 6E router and the Atlas Max 6E mesh system it introduced at CES earlier this year on its website. I want to use my laptop to wirelessly transfer massive files to my NAS and need a router capable of high speed transfers.Linksys has launched its first WiFi 6E-certified systems, which can provide users with better wireless connections that have lots of bandwidth and lesser interference. Which is why I was looking for a router that can give me high transfer speeds of 20+ mbps so that I don't have to turn on my dusty old PC every time. I just hate the fact that I have to connect my cameras to my PC everytime and do wired transfers over to my NAS. I own a DSLR which I use often, a Samsung S21+ and a new GoPro, I really make the most use out of them and I transfer a lot of video files to my NAS. I'm a family guy, and the unofficial designated family photographer/videographer (because I'm the only one who has the willpower to do so 😛). Some time back, I delved into the glorious world of NAS, which was a real life saver for me because of the redundancy as well as having ample storage room without paying expensive monthly costs for online cloud storage. My story: I don't want to call myself cheap, but I usually look for a cheap enough product for satisfying my needs (so maybe midrange).

I was gonna upgrade to a WiFi 6 router or something, when I came across a news article on WiFi 7 and how "it'll be revolutionary", just like 4, 5 and 6 were.Īny advice on which WiFi version router to get? Or any specific one?
